How to Use One Way Sync

Part 1: Go to App Connection

Step 1: Open App Connections

    Go to the Settings menu.

    From there, navigate to App Connections.

Step 2: Select Xero Practice Manager (XPM)

    Within App Connections, click on Xero Practice Manager (XPM).

Part 2: Verify and Complete Configuration

Step 1: Go to Configuration

    After triggering the manual sync, navigate to the Configuration section to verify the status of your sync.

Step 3: One Way Syncing

    Locate the One Way Syncing option.

Step 4: Enable Auto-Sync

    Click on the option:

    “Auto-sync from Synkli to XPM (Clients & Jobs)”.
  • icon-for-li
    This enables one-way syncing, where data flows from Synkli to XPM only.

Step 5: Go to Configurations

    After enabling auto-sync, navigate to the Configuration section.

Step 6: Open Configuration Section

    Inside the App Connections page, click on Configuration to view settings.

Step 7: Review Sync Statusn

    Within Configuration, select the Synkli to XPM tab.

    Here you can review the sync status and confirm that one-way syncing is working correctly.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    The key difference lies in the direction of data flow:
    Two-way sync: Data flows in both directions — from Xero Practice Manager (XPM) to Synkli and from Synkli back to XPM. This ensures both systems are always fully aligned.

    One-way sync: Data flows in a single direction — from Synkli to XPM only. Updates made in Synkli will appear in XPM, but changes made in XPM will not flow back into Synkli.
